irony-information-age

The irony of this information and knowledge economy is that instead of stronger minds, we have developed weak minds. By now, you could imagine that we have harvested, harnessed and developed so much for our knowledge to keep things such as anxiety, fear, and depression out in the cold.

Instead, these things somehow finds its way easily into the heart because it is not barred out by the wisdom that comes from the fear of God.

Wisdom has been replaced by cheap knowledge – most of it counterfeit.

We have traded the absolute truth – which is the most valuable thing our minds can hold – for that which is relative, wobbly, and weak. Things that feels good for the moment but dissolve soon after.

“… Until at last, having educated himself into imbecility, and polluted and drugged himself into stupefaction, he keeled over–a weary, battered old brontosaurus–and became extinct.” Malcolm Muggeridge
