Truth is so precious, it is surrounded by a bodyguard of lies
Truth, as I’ve written in my previous post, is exclusive. But the world seems to want truth and lies to get along – much like buddies. Really tight buddies.
This entry has been inspired by a preaching of pastor Peter Tan-Chi. To you I give my thanks in helping me remember the importance of truth in our World and faith.
Truth is losing itself.
In fact, have you ever heard of the term ‘relative truths‘ ? Truth has been given a different identity by our world today. An easier identity to cope with. A universal identity. For truth to be truth, it must be itself. It is selfish and absolute. In short, any other identity you give to truth will make it a lie in one sense or another.
7 x 5 is 35 – if you make it 35.0000001 what do you think will any math teacher or professional tell you?
Are you expecting them to say: “Well, that can happen in some cases…”
Of course not! You expect them to tell you that 7 x 5 is 35 – no more and no less. not a .000000001 or .0000000000001 more nor a .00000000001 less. Truth must be absolute – and this is just in a mathematical perspective.
Truth Matters
No one is exempt from truth as they are from the law. Ignorance of the law excuses no one. Ignorance of truth will not excuse you from itself.
Not knowing the truth about gravity doesn’t mean you can fly. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know it. It most certainly still IS and it exists and it’s the truth of this world. Gravity exists. And whether it is true for you or it ain’t, once you jump from that 60-foot building, you’ll realize the truth behind it and suddenly the truth about gravity will be absolute for you.
Lies are trying to creep up
Lies are getting better and better as the days go by. Good lies are the ones closer to the truth. That way, you will have a hard time differentiating them. The best lies are the ones who are closely knit and intertwined with the absoluteness of truths. In short, great lies are relative truths that are bent and twisted to suit the comfort of men.
Bring it back
Make a resolve and decide to make it known. Bring it back to Matthew 28 – Make disciples and bring truth to the world. Help men remember that truth matters and truth is absolute and Jesus is Lord. Know the truth – read His Word. Immerse yourself in the wisdom and truths of the Bible. Pray. Ask God to help you remember His truths.
