Know the wayPerfect is not perfect anymore and will never be perfect again when a mistake occurs in it’s state. We all have a choice – it is God-given to us as human beings. Everyday we make hundreds or even thousands of choices in our lives. Choice is vulnerable. Vulnerable to our feelings, to our wisdom, to our knowledge – it is vulnerable to us because we are given the free gift of choice Simply not making a choice is a choice in itself. Choice is vulnerable – very vulnerable. I cannot explain the extent of the impact and change that one choice can make.

We all face decisions in life that we have to decide upon one way or another. Some are easy for us and some are not. Some choices we can make in a matter of seconds or in a whim – others we make in days months or even years. Making a choice is already a way of life for us. It is a gift from God – a very delicate gift from God.

In exams and games when we commit a mistake it’s just not perfect anymore. And whatever you do, it won’t become perfect anymore. But a lot of people strive to be perfect at least in exams and in games. They want to be the best. Mistakes and failures are not an option for them. They will repeat it if they have the chance to.

What about our lives? Have we ever thought about living perfectly? The rival of perfection is not mistake – it’s compromise. It’s when you don’t know the answer in the exam and you still pick out an answer anyway even when you’re not sure if it’s the right one – just so you’ve answered everything. It’s when you go a little lower from your standards in life. It’s when you sway from your goals a bit, curve a bit – not really making a u-turn but straying from the right path nontheless.

When we keep on compromising on the little choices we have in life – it may not matter for us and it may not seem like we’ve made mistakes because they might be little, petty choices for you. But when you keep on compromising on the little decisions God has put in your responsibility, chances are you’ll think you could also get away with the big ones. That’s when you realize that you’ve committed a mistake and your life can never be what it once was ever again.

one mistakeThis can be said in a lot of different scenarios – take premarital sex for example. Once you’ve indulged in sex outside of marriage, you’re not a virgin anymore and you can never be a virgin again. Now let’s say you’ve changed and you’ve kept yourself for your future partner in life – what then? You cannot tell him/her that you’ve kept yourself 100% for him/her anymore – it’s just not the same. You can never revert it back to give your future partner in life your full self – you’ve committed a big mistake. BECAUSE OF ONE SIMPLE CHOICE. ONE!

That one choice was influenced by millions of experiences and decisions you’ve let yourself make. And you might think “It’s just another choice” but that ONE choice will change your life in ways you can never imagine. It’s the choices we make each and everyday that change and mold us into who we are. And those same choices are the ones that lead us into the lives we now live. And those very same choices are the ones influencing your circle of influence – be it family, friends, relatives or whomever.

Make every choice count. One of them might destroy you – think about it.

The ability to make a choice is the steering wheel of your life. The choice itself is the course which you make as you go along. The Bible is the map and God is the best driver there is waiting for you to let Him handle the driving.
