How do you measure a man’s life and worth? Is it by the good things he has done? Or by the bad?
There are tons of arguments going on throughout the world about the man Charlie Kirk.
Some would say he is a bigot. Some would say he is a misogynist, some says he was racist – and the list goes on. And all of these accusations are taken from bits and pieces of what he actually said – however those bits and pieces are taken out of context, painted in a negative light and used to deceive people who don’t know any better.
This strategy is the exact same one that Satan used to deceive Eve in the garden of Eden in Genesis.
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” – Genesis 3:1
Satan’s strategy is to throw mud at God’s Word – ‘DID GOD REALLY SAY?‘ it is meant to make you doubt God.
“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” – Genesis 3:5
Satan proceeds to cast a spell by telling a lie. Adam and Eve already KNEW what is good. But to KNOW what is evil is still beyond them because evil has not entered them yet.
But by eating the fruit, they have invited evil into their body and soul.
Satan took things out of context and used it to deceive – and the whole of mankind fell from that point onwards.
Followers of Satan (whether they are aware of it or not) are still at large and they are gaining strength because of the evil ideologies being spread through campuses and through social media. Some call this woke-ism however I believe that it is simply the evil that entered the soul of men since Eve partook of the forbidden fruit.
“for whoever is not against us is for us. Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.” – Mark 9:40-41
Charlie Kirk did more than just give a cup of water. He taught, he educated and he gave away time, knowledge, effort, money – and many other things – and ultimately, his life. This will not be taken away from him.
Sadly even people who self-identify as Christians or followers of Jesus have thrown much hate, spite and mud on the man. They did this because of some things he said that they do not agree with. Charlie Kirk might be a hypocrite for them but the thing is, haven’t we all done or said some things that are wrong? Why condemn a man who has made a mistake when we ourselves have made many in our lives?
The wrong things we have done does not disqualify us from preaching God’s Word. In fact, it is the reminder to us all that we need to abide in God.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
However the critics and woke-ism (sadly of self-identified Christians as well) are the first to point fingers on a preacher’s imperfections, past wrong-doings and mistakes.
Here’s the good news: We all have redemption through Jesus Christ’s gift of salvation.
Even the most despicable sinner can preach God’s Word powerfully because of this.
The only one who does not have redemption is Satan. And he uses people who are critical in their spirit to be his mouthpiece – online and offline. He is even using them to gloat over the death of a man of God. It’s sickening.
My message to all of you who believe that there is a Spiritual war waged today is this: Fight the good fight. Run the race. Keep the faith.
Do not let the evil spirit of the world take over.
We are called to be conquerors.
This is not the time to be silent.
Preach God’s Word and tell everybody of His love and redemption – just like Charlie Kirk did.
