Hi guys, many of you may know that I am an author. I write books.
When I was in college, I was placed in the remedial English class. That’s English 100. That’s the class where they put students because their english language writing skills are not good enough for English 101. Ouch.
I was a laggard as a student, and the last thing I dreamed of was to become an author.
But today, I am a published author of 11 books, including four that have either become award-winning (like pang CMMA Awards) or #1, 2 and #5 National best-selling books.
Yep, I still shake my head in disbelief sometimes, and ask myself…
For the first time online, I’m going to share the answer to that question. I’m going to share my “HOWS” of becoming an author (and lots of other good and practical stuff–like how to get busloads of people to buy your book, aside from your Mom and your friends).
Actually, I used to lead a workshop/seminar called Project Author but haven’t done it in quite some time since other projects, ministries, speaking/training gigs and new businesses piled up on my plate.
And then during this COVID-19 pandemic, quite a number of people have messaged me asking when my next Project Author seminar will be held. Many have pm’d me for help, saying:
“I’ve always dreamed of writing a book and now that I have the time, I don’t know where or how to start.”
I want to help. But now the way to do seminars in online. So, I asked for help. And God sent me a friend, young entrepreneur Sean Si. He gladly offered to help me bring Project Author go online!
And now, I’m excited! Aside from giving you the basic nuts and bolts of getting your book written and published, I’ll be sharing lots of stories.
…how my first book, Buhay na Hindi Bitin (Life That’s Never Short) was conceived, almost aborted and finally born and went on to sell more than 500,000 copies and changed thousands of lives. (I’ll share how it was written in just two Saturday afternoons! And how you can do the same with your book.)
…how my book, the Heart of Healing was written through much tears, time and pain…before it got published and opened doors for me to speak internationally …and then won a Gintong Aklat Finalist award in 2010 for best inspirational book. (And how you can use your book as a “door opener” for other gigs: consulting, speaking, even a new career!)
…the big WHY behind my #1 National Best-seller, Ang Pera na Hindi Bitin and how it motivated me to write a book on a topic that I was not an expert on. (And I’ll show you why and how you can do that too.)
…when Real Men are POGI, my #5 National Best-selling book, which became my guide to court my Ms Universe, who eventually became my wife. I’ll share the principle behind the book writing process and what it takes to finish it. (And I’m telling you, that many doors open once you write and publish your book! God knows how many doors were miraculously opened for me.)
…WHERE and how my latest book, THE HAPPY ENTREPRENEUR, a Catholic Mass Media Award finalist and #2 National Best-selling book, was conceived and written (mostly on planes, poolside and on a bar table standing up). (I’ll also share what I’ve discovered to be the sweet spots of Publishers that will get your book published.)
Throughout those stories that will be shared (see, you’ll learn from real life stories, not theories) you’ll also discover time-tested, insider/industry secrets and strategies that will prove to be worth 1,000 times the price you’ll be paying for this online seminar.
Price? Yes, there is a price eh. But we’re only charging P1,499 for this seminar (Much, much lower than the P7,557 that my other seminar hosts have charged before.) And if you register before July 6, 2020, you get the early bird rate of P999.
Come to think of it, maybe Sean Si should charge more. Pero sa next run na lang. (I’ll tell Sean that he’s too kind.) Actually, Sean is an author himself, who wrote the inspiring book, CEO at 22. Maybe, I’ll ask him to share his story as well. Bonus yan!
Seriously for now, this is the price: P999. That’s less than US$20 to help you get your dream book started… Cheaper than a coffee table book or ordering a pizza and chicken dinner for your family or barkada, diba?
Here’s to your author dreams!

p.s. I’ll also share how you can get your readers so engaged and inspired that they will just “hate” on you.
Haha. That actually happened to me. I got a reader to really “hate” me!
(Actually he loved the book but hated me for…well, just read this screen shot of a reader’s post about my book.)
Come and join us inside! It will be so fun to dream and work on getting your book written and published!

“Good day. First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank ABS-CBN Books for allowing me to be part of Sir Ardy's #PROJECTAUTHOR Webinar. I want to thank Sir Ardy Roberto for sharing his knowledge and expertise to people like me who are dreaming to be a published author someday. Being in that Webinar for me is already a blessing. I learned many things, thanks to Sir Ardy's wisdom, I get to see the real purpose of why I write. It encourages me to write even more. I'm also encouraged by the guest speakers who were also there. This added knowledge that I learned from this Webinar will be cherished and applied to my future writing projects.”
“I'm grateful I was able to join Ardy Roberto's webinar! It was a treasure trove of information, info that I can use in my journey towards becoming a published author. I learned firsthand about the publishing process which was intriguing. Also, it helped that Ardy invited guest speakers who were very inspiring! All in all, it was a webinar that was worth every single second of my time. :) Again, thank you!”
“Thank you for the seminar with Mr. Ardy Roberto :) For the feedback: It was the longest and "meatiest" seminar I experienced. I loved the fact that not only Mr. Ardy shared his insights on the book industry, but he also invited other people to talk about their experiences. It was huge for me because not all people have the same experience, and hearing their journey motivates me to write more. The webinar is recommended to writers and authors of all industry levels since it's refreshing. Mr. Ardy and the guests have great examples to share and they're all engaging speakers. Humorous, witty, and inspiring. I also love the practical exercises. The other knowledge: The shocking one for me probably is that other authors are hiring ghostwriters. Probably it was shocking to me because it was new to hear that. I can understand partnering or ghostwriting for other people in need. It was new to me. Probably because I always believe that people behind best-selling books are the ones writing it. It was new to me. I do have questions that were left unanswered, so, I'm not sure if it's okay to leave it here? Mr. Ardy gave OMFLit as an opening publisher: I thought OMFLit was only for Evangelicals? Are they also open to other religions? Somebody asked what's the regulating body for books. The National Book Development Board does that. Is ABS-CBN Books also part of any bok industry groups like it's registered with NBDB, BDAP Filipinas, or award-winning bodies in the Phils? Because what if the writer belongs to any of these groups? Are they eligible to submit books for awards? Really sorry for that. I'm that curious. Overall, the webinar gave me a much clearer picture of the book publishing process. Once again, thank you very much!”
“Mr. Ardy Roberto gave a new meaning of writing to me. I loved how he explained piece by piece with such passion and enthusiasm. I enjoyed and learned a lot from him and his amazing guests. They inspired me to improve myself instead of giving up. Every minute was full of humor, information, inspiration, tips and great words! He deserves everything he has now. You're very inspiring, Sir Ardy. When I write my next book, I'll be using what I learned and I will dedicate it to you. Please continue being an inspiration for everyone who wants be like you!”
“Thank you will be an understatement. I have a VBlog on this. But I just want you to know that I feel I won already because of the learnings I had last night. Although it was long but I won't mind staying up late for more learning. I wanted to say that if I will have to choose for a mentor, i would go for sir Ardy. His wisdom is from the Lord. I am a born-again Christian. That's why I was so excited when I heard that he is one of the mentors. Thank you for this kind of opportunity that your company gave us. I will pray for you. (Here's the link of the VBlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6t7ac9EXBY and https://racquelsarah.wordpress.com/2020/07/09/my-everyday-miracle/ ) Thank you, #ProjectForeword, for this opportunity to listen and learn from one of the country's best-seller authors and writing mentors, Mr. Ardy Roberto."
“It was actually my second time to attend his webinar as I was able to join the first run of his Project Author Dream Class in May 2020. Nonetheless, I have acquired new ideas and inspiration from last night's session. I am grateful to listen to Ms. Feliz Lucas as I followed her family's painful journey then, to Ms. Miriam Quiambao whom I can relate on her story about the issue with confidence and dislike for public speaking, to Ms. Joy of CSM Publishing who shared what publishers and editors look for or expect from writers. In addition, I would like to thank Mr. Mark from ABS CBN Publishing for updating us on the status of the Project Foreword selection process. I look forward and pray that I will be one of the 20 writers who will have the chance to get books published and share GOD's Story as told in our lives.”
“First, I would like to extend my gratefulness to Abs-Cbn Books for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to attend Mr. Ardy Roberto's Webinar. I learned so much from it and every minute spent is worth it. And second, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ardy for sharing us his knowledge, ideas, examples, and even humor in the publishing process, how to write a book, and finding a good title for a book. Also, the other speakers he invited were also very inspiring especially Mr. Vins Santiago and although it was the first time I'm seeing them, they gave me new ideas which I can definitely use in my craft. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Abs-Cbn and to Mr. Ardy Roberto.”
“And my experience in webinar #ProjectAuthor po is, I've learned too much not just in writing but also in life and God. When I received the email po, kinabahan po talaga ako kung sasama ba 'ko pero isa pong malaking kawalan nitong project na 'to para hindi sang-ayunan. From making a book, — on how will be the plot, the sequence, and the steps in making it. It's so helpful as an aspiring writer/author. From finishing a manuscript, from submitting it into a publishing house, from continue fighting in writing and from trusting yourself while trusting God as the center of your goals. Ang dami ko pong natutunan para isa-isahin. And I know that the knowledge I have learned was a great ingredient to the recipe of my life and story. Thank you so much po.”
