Trap

Here’s the thing: It never entered my mind before.

All the mountain ranges, the meadows, the adventures lined up in my mind covered up all the potholes.

The shrouds were too thick.

Now the questions revealed what’s behind all that fuzz.

And I’m re-thinking it all.

I never thought this ultimately right thing would have to be rethought. It seemed so solid. The density seemed so intense.

It all seemed to fit into place.

Now the cracks seem to surface and the pottery’s design doesn’t seem as elegant as it used to.

It’s all smokes and mirrors.

Perhaps from hereon out.

A man’s dignity is an extremely important thing. Once he lets go of it, he breaks – and wouldn’t be able to find himself anymore.

People who rob a man from such is a man’s enemy. At least for a time.

It is simply not right.

A trap is meant to latch on to its prey until the hunter comes to gather.

Where am I?

How did I get here?

Where am I going?

Perhaps only time will tell.

Then again, time is only a vehicle you drive.

The real question is, where do I want to go?
