Crazyegg has been a long-coming proejct by Neil Patel. I was lightly checking out what’s going to happen with this tool. I saw it as a great tool. Something that can track exactly where users were clicking and where they were scrolling down to. It was genius!
I got to know Crazyegg some time in 2010. I was surprised to know that it was in the making since 2006. It’s quite a relief to know that an online product can take that much time to be developed and furnished even if we have the fastest feedback loops in the web. SEO School was birthed on April of 2012 and it’s now more than a year in its making. We haven’t really seen substantial growth in the form of paid enrollees.
We’re in the process of developing an online tool using Python thanks to Khris’ research and enthusiasm. I’ve been wanting to create an online tool to boost reasons for people to enroll in our school. The tool will be free but it will definitely be key in our marketing campaign.
I have all our marketing strategies lined up. The reason why I haven’t done anything about it yet is because we’re still making sure that the product is what we promise it to be before we mass-market it. Right now we’re still trying to get as much feedback as we can.
Perhaps we should give a 15 day free trial for Pro if users will submit us a survey. But that’s something we will have to do manually. It can be an email campaign. But then our powerpoints are still lagging. It’s a very exciting time for SEO School. I’m glad that I have a great team to back me up. Things are moving. Slower than I would like – but the quality is there. That’s good enough for me.
Crazyegg is now going full-blast. They even have ads in Youtube. I was so surprised to see it. But hey, it’s really an excellent product – and it’s now being sold for as low as $9 per month with a 30 day free trial. Amazing how it got this far. Lots of big companies are using it too. It’s something I look up to. And it’s something that’s comforting with the way we’re growing.
