Losing good employees.jpeg

Growing a company is nerve-wrackingly difficult.

At least that’s what I used to think.

Until it wasn’t.

It’s borderline impossible.

I’ve started and grown 4 companies – all currently in different stages.

The one closest to heart, is of course my first-born: SEO Hacker.

We are at the stage where veterans are about to make a life decision. To sign up with us for another two years – or jump ship.

There are those who I’m very sorry to lose. And I would love to keep them on board (I still hope I could).

Sadly, there are those that are well outside my reach.

Moving on. That’s what they say.

I can’t blame them. Ambition is a good thing.

It’s just that we are at a critical time in the growth of the company – and losing ‘a few good men’ may be more than we can bear to lose.

Perhaps it’s part of growth. It is painful.

But if it is necessary, then I would have to learn what I can from it.

That’s really all we could do.

I have toiled, worked, laughed, stressed out with these people. I sincerely hope that I still could – whether they star or not.

What’s important is they have taken the company to a whole new level. And for that, I am grateful.
