Performing Artists:

Parachute Band

Parachute Band Saved

The Parachute Band boys spend most of their year living out of suitcases; trekking to churches and events around the globe. Musically, their sound is fresh and experimental – with pulsing drums, angular guitars and the odd synth-breakdown – but spiritually they consistently seek to usher in the presence of God wherever they go.

Frontman Omega Levine and Drummer/Producer Sam de Jong formed New Zealand’s Parachute Band in 2007, picking up from where the original Parachute Band (1996-2006) had left off. Four years on, the five-piece has toured relentlessly throughout America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Martin James Smith

Martin Smith Saved

Born 6 July 1970, Martin James Smith is an English vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. He was the front man of the Christian rock and worship band Delirious? He co-wrote three songs on Michael W. Smith’s 2004 album Healing Rain and is going to be collaborating with Michael W. Smith on his upcoming album. Martin also co-wrote two songs on Matt Redman’s 2006 album Beautiful News (” Take it to the streets” and “All over the World”). Some of the most recognised songs by Delirious? include “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever”, “History Maker”, “My Glorious”, “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?”, “Shout To The North”, “Deeper”, “Majesty (Here I Am)”, and “What A Friend I’ve Found”.

In 1995, Martin was involved in a near-fatal car accident, and during the weeks of his recovery, he decided to become a full-time musician. This inspired him to write the song “August 30” which appeared on the King of Fools album from Delirious?. Smith was one of the founding members of Delirious? along with Stewart Smith (no relation) and Tim Jupp, when they formed the band as The Cutting Edge.

Smith also collaborated with the other members of Delirious? for the book I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever.

Gary Valenciano Saved

Edgardo José Martín Santiago Valenciano, better known as simply Gary Valenciano (shortened to Gary V.), is a Filipino musician, composer, actor, producer, and gospel singer who is best known for many songs, especially those that became theme songs for movies.

Jodi King

Jodi King Saved
Singer/songwriter Jodi King has been surrounded by music and melody as long as she can remember. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba into a family that gathered every Sunday at church to sing in the choir, Jodi recalls: “Even Lilly, my Ukrainian grandmother joined us. She was a soprano.” Soon thereafter, the piano caught her attention and, as a 4 year old, Jodi began writing her own songs, each sophisticated enough to feature separate verses and progressions.

Sideshow

Sideshow Saved

Sideshow is a six member band based in Manila, Philippines.

They are made up of vocalist Teepee Gastrock Aguilar, electric & acoustic guitarist Jun Uy, electric guitarist George Padolina, bass guitarist Raffy Lacambra, keyboardist Simon Tan, and drummer Jojo Reniya.

Known for their unusual approach, Sideshow courses their sound seamlessly to the ever shifting currents of music. Rocking and transforming what is usually presented as bright and clean, the band’s raw sound brings attention to the real source of creativity, without pretensions, with total authenticity. The recent debut of the album LIKE A TREE, which sold almost 1,000 copies in just 2 weeks, marks the coming of a new era in Filipino music. The genre proves no one is left in the dark both musically and lyrically.

Starfield

Starfield Saved

Artistry shot through with honesty; the ability to see the holiness of God and the depravity in our own souls; to somehow manage to communicate the unfathomable reality of the reconciliation of those two concepts – it is a quality known as authenticity. And it is a precious commodity in an industry known more for gilt than gold.

Sparrow Records worship band Starfield is one of those rare artists that can express the dichotomy of wonder and wandering; the wrestling of devotion and doubt that nestles in most of our hearts if we are honest with ourselves. With the release of their fourth major label album, THESAVINGONE, the band invites listeners to enter with them into human worship of the eternal God.
