As you all know, I am doing a series for Worry. This is the second topic about that series and I’m going to talk about one good reason why worry isn’t a good thing to keep in life – because worry is a murderer.

Hmmmmm…. Yeah. Worry can kill you.
All of these drugs for worry? Even if you take one capsule of each of these each day, your liver would suffer and your blood would spell “Xanax-and-friends” all over.
Well, God has a cure for worry. I just want to share it with you guys.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
Anxiety = Worry
Just one medicine for it – prayer. It’s God’s medicine. And it sure as heaven works! How? I cannot explain because it “transcends all understanding” but it’s there. The peace of God is there. You just have to talk to Him about your worries and concerns and He will help you through. BELIEVE IT.
Love this post. I am a therapist who works with patients in behavioral health, so I'm familiar with some of the drugs you listed and their side effects. I always counsel patients that medicine alone cannot take away their anxiety. Only God can.
Hey Angela!
Thank you. Yeah every medicine has it's side effects right?
Indeed only God can. It's so great to hear that from a therapist =) thank you for sharing that here.
Sean, I super needed this. 😐 Pray for me,I literally feel like i'm drowning in school work. The verse you shared really encouraged me today. By God's grace magagawa ko lahat ng kailangan kong gawin 😐 Lucky for you, graduate ka na *ugh* i still have 4 semesters to goooo :O
Great blog as usual. Panalo ka talaga. Needed this today.
Praise God for the wisdom ahia Mel. So glad that it helped you out today.
So excited for you to start blogging too!!!
Hi 🙂
Just happened to pass by from Facebook.
For some people, these meds help since many disorders are biological BUT I have proven that this alone CANNOT relieve the anxiety. Super dami talaga niyang side effects. Tried weaning myself from this because I thought prayer and will power can do it alone but found myself going back to these after a year. The best mix is prayer + meds + talking to a professional/therapy and love from the people around. <3
Hello llenell!
First of all welcome! I'm glad you dropped by and gave out your insight about this article through your comment.
I 100% believe that trust in God and prayer can take away worry from your life. It's like trusting your dad to catch you while you were still a child and he was asking you to jump to him.
yeah God is the solution for everything! God is faithful to help us overcome all worries we have. i admit that many times i have been worried yet God is good to me..
