This is a snippet of the third episode of the Leadership Stack AMA Sessions where I answer questions about management, entrepreneurship, self-improvement, and leadership. Want to ask me hard-hitting questions? Send them over on the Leadership Stack Discord Server so I can answer them in my next session!

What are the most important investments we must have?

Okay. Since you did not mention monetary, I am going to take your question and run with it. The first investment you should make is in your spirit. Why? Because when you die, The only inheritance you will have is either heaven or hell and that’s it. Your money, your houses, all your possessions are going to be inherited by someone who’s still living. When you die, you inherit nothing but heaven or hell. That’s it.

Again, I’m a man of faith. I respect your faith. If you’re listening in here and you don’t believe in heaven or hell you don’t believe in Christianity, that’s fine. But since you’re here, might as well listen.

The best investment in my opinion is an investment in your spirit. The Bible says, if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved.

That’s it. That’s all you need to know. When the Bible says you will be saved meaning, you’re going to Heaven. Now there’s a lot of people who say “No if you do a lot of good stuff if you do more good than bad, you will be saved.” That’s not true because the Bible doesn’t say that. Nowhere in the Bible will you find a verse that says do more good than bad and you’ll get to heaven. But yet a lot of people spread that for the news.

Read the Bible. Invest in your spirit. Because that’s your only inheritance when you die. The second most important investment that I believe you should make is in your physical health, nowhere else. But this season of COVID, I have begun to realize how important and expensive life can be. We had a friend. A close friend who passed away and the hospital bill is just super expensive and the grief that it cost our families… It’s not something that we want to go through again.

Invest in your physical health: exercise, eat the right stuff. If you want a cheat day. Sure. Once a week, but that’s it. There’s a lot of information about nutrition and exercise on the web, an infinite amount, actually. All it takes is you have to be disciplined to follow them, invest in your physical health.

Next is in your relationships – invest in your relationships. There’s a saying in business, it’s not about what you know, it’s who you know, And that’s because connections, network, relationships – that’s what really makes you successful and not just in business, but also in your family and your love life. You have to invest in your relationships.

Relationships take time and communication. You have to have a two-way communication in order for a relationship to work. You have to have it at a good frequency. And you have to be present and caring. That’s how you nurture relationships.

And lastly, financial, how do you grow your financial investment? A lot of ways. Right now I’m using a copy trading platform. I’m sure you’re familiar with EToro. If you’re not familiar with it. You can go ahead and check it out.

Why do I use a copy trading platform because unlike Mr. Marvin Germo, I am not good with trading stocks and investing in stocks.

So I’d rather have someone who does it full time for himself or herself and just copy whatever it is they’re doing real-time. That is the platform that I’m doing. I also have private investments in friends’ sugar farms. I also have investments in life insurance for myself. Of course, I need my own protection because when I die, if it’s abrupt, my family has to have something that they can live on with, etc. In financial investments, you have a whole slew of vehicles that you can invest in –  stocks, Forex, insurance, VULs, UITFs, bonds, you name it.
