So many people aske what the way to success is – how do you achieve it? What are the possible roadblocks? What do we need to give up to get there?
The answer is simple: Make as many mistakes as you possibly can in the industry you care deeply about – and evaluate them.
This of course is done all in the spirit of having a positive outcome.
We are taught to be risk-averse and mistake-averse in school. We just have to get all perfect scores to get a gold medal.
The least mistake possible is awarded with the best accolades in school and work.
And that’s alright – if you want to be successful in school and work.
This is not the same when it comes to success in life and business.
“The essence of man is imperfection. Know that you’re going to make mistakes. The fellow who never makes a mistake takes his orders from one who does. Wake up and realize this: Failure is simply a price we pay to achieve success.” – John Maxwell
The person who makes the most mistakes and learns from it in the earliest time possible has numerous opportunities open for him/her. Usually that person becomes the CEO/Founder and/or the industry leader.
If you’re just starting out in your career or in your business, make all the possible mistakes that you can without making it fatal for yourself (meaning you lose your business or your job).
Evaluate the mistakes so you turn them into life lessons – and then try and experiment some more.
