search for truthWhere does the curse of the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil stop? Does it end where knowledge is found? Does it end with the utter grasp and control of the sciences? Does it end when all has been discovered? Or does it end when truth is no longer considered as an absolute?

The Generation in Search of Truth

We are all Truth-seekers. You may not know it but you are too. Why do we watch the news on TV? Why do we feel attracted to watch reality shows? Why do we search out facts on the internet? Why is ‘Googling’ the number one activity on the web?

We are a generation in search of truth. We want to KNOW. And we don’t stop there. Once we do KNOW, we want to verify. We want to know if what we know is true.

Where has Truth Gone in our World Today?

In an age where knowledge is rampant and is just a click away, everything that claims to be true can be so deceiving. It is hard to uncover lies that are built from some form of truths. Humanity as we know it has some fundamental truths that we cannot box into relativism.

There are absolutes. And truth, in its innermost nature, is an absolute. There cannot be two conflicting truths or one of them is a lie. So where has truth gone? Has it left us to go and glamorize itself in the media? Has it gone out from us to inhibit itself in the minds of authorities? Has it gone out from us to traverse the information of the internet?

And yet those are the places where we first look when we seek truth, don’t we?

We ask ourselves, “where has truth gone?”

When we should be asking, “Where am I supposed to look for it?”

What is Truth?

Truth is something that establishes and affirms our belief. Truth is something that frees us from all the lies that clouds. Truth is what makes our assumptions alive or dead. Truth is absolute. Truth is claimed to be begotten by all religions old and new. Truth is what science is supposedly seeking for. Truth is a rarity. Truth is a person.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

Searching for TruthJesus didn’t say that He was ‘a truth’, He said that He was ‘the truth’. That is an extremely bold statement. To claim something absolute to be yourself is illogical, absurd, crazy, absolutely gutsy, and yet Jesus says it with authority and gusto. He is ‘THE TRUTH’ – what does that mean?

It means everything you know to be true is, and will someday be, centered around His person and character and deeds and promises and teachings and creations and so on and so forth.

This is the truth that never changes.

It cannot be found anywhere near the media, it cannot be easily rummaged around all the noise and crap floating around the internet, it cannot be found in all the voices of our world’s authorities, it may not even be found in your household.

There is one place it can absolutely be found.

The Word of the Lord. The Bible.

Written to highlight the past, present and future of who Jesus Christ is. The only man who ever walked this earth to claim that He was “The Truth”.

We are in search of truth. And when we look deep down inside, we will realize that in the end, we were always in search of the Lord.
