Have you ever heard of relative truth? It is a statement that says truth is not absolute. It is an idea that explains itself in a simple statement such as: “What is true to you might not be true for me.” And vice versa. It makes truth more personal – much like web 2.0

Don't believe that relative truth exists

Don't believe that relative truth exists

The thing about relative truth is that it empowers the individual and it completely takes away absoluteness from truth. In philosophy, the statement “truth is relative” cannot exist because that statement is also relative therefore there must be an absolute truth.

Relative truth is truth taken into self-reasoning, biased to the claimer of it’s absoluteness in the individual’s life. It is compromised truth – in other words, it is a lie. Truth is selfish, in fact, it is very selfish. It must have all the details to itself, all the evidences to itself, all the ways to itself, truth wants everything to itself – it doesn’t share itself to lies and incompleteness. Truth must be truth or else what do you call it? Of course – You call it a lie.

You wouldn’t want a person who believes in relative truth to be your trustee. You wouldn’t want that person to be your accountant or your doctor would you? I think not. Your life would be pretty miserable if you surround yourself with “relative truthers” (which I would like to plainly call liars)

So if relative truth must not exist, then musn’t there be an absolute? Yes.

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Notice He uses the word “the” pertaining to Himself as the only one. Truth is selfish. Jesus is THE only truth. And this statement is absolute – no conditions, no compromises, no more, no less. Jesus is absolute. He is the only way for salvation. Other than Him, it is all LIES.
