peace amidst the crisis

We got shut down, the top management of SEO Hacker agreed to zero pay for 3 months and people are resigning for self-centered reasons.

How do you keep an entire organization afloat amidst this wreck?

How do you find peace amidst the crisis when the crisis continues to give birth to even more albeit smaller crises?

Yesterday was probably the longest workday of my life in terms of energy spent per minute. I had eight scheduled calls – a mix of podcast recording, Facebook live shows, new hire interview, prospective client calls and revision request calls.

I was working from 10am to 11:30pm with 10 minute breaks for my lunch and dinner and a 15 minute break for brisk-walking around our subdivision.

With all the inquiries and leads coming in, how are we supposed to handle the workload that’s about to get injected in our organization if these deals close – when our team is not whole?

This is not to say that we lack manpower – not really. We have more manpower than any other time in our organization’s history. But foreseeing the possible workload, we do need more people in our team to help out – and we don’t hire overnight.

Our hiring process is a long process. It’s better not to rush the process than to hire the wrong person and allow a “nasty character in my house”.

So today, I am back to my best strategy as an entrepreneur – going down on my knees and praying. But now I have two little boys to pray with – and my wife as well.

This is my source of peace and confidence amidst the crisis.

What is yours?
