Plan and Design your Life

A lot of people live life by default instead of by design. The problem with living life by default is that usually ‘default’ looks a lot like other people designing your life for you. The end result is a miserable, unhappy, unfulfilled life.

So what does living life by design look like?

Living life by design requires two things:

  1. The first creation
  2. The second creation

These two phrase are quite simple.

The first creation is when you have an idea in your mind – a plan, a goal, a habit you want to get into, etc. You  have to picture it clearly. Without this, there is no design.

The second creation is when that idea, plan, habit, goal, or whatever it is – is put into paper and motion.

This is when the idea becomes alive.

“If you had the most beautiful blueprints in the world for the most spectacular home, what value would they have if there was no action plan to build it?” John Maxwell

The first creation is important but ironically, it is worth very little. The second creation is worth a lot but if you bypassed the first creation, you may be creating something for other people – not for yourself.
