LGBTQ Signal vs Noise

People have lost its ability to determine between signal and noise. These ‘modern times’ with its bright neon lights and infinite micro-news and dopamine hits on your personal social media platform has perfected its craft on subjecting our mind and reasoning to the law of entropy.

Looking at the world at large where several forms of confusion is publicly, wildly and quite forcibly celebrated by the news and media – where the original design by God, our creator has been stupendously turned upside-down – we have become the laughingstock of the universe.

There are times I could not believe that we have devolved from a thinking society to a media-pressured imbecile of a collective. How can such a people who have so much information at its fingertips decide that we have so many different so-called ‘genders’? When the rest of the feral, carnal animal kingdom are faithful to their God-given design?

We could see that where we are now is not the first time in history. It has happened but the sad thing about where we are now is that we did not learn from history. These things happened before when Christianity and the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was just in its infancy. But now that much of the world has heard the Gospel, society is on a backward spiral and has gone back to that time such as in the book of Romans.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” – Romans 1:24 – 32

What we have lost is not the truth of the Gospel. It’s in the heart of every true Christian and the Bible. We have lost our surrender to God’s Holy Spirit. We have lost the daily habit of prayer and of reading God’s Word and of praying for and loving other people – especially people who struggle with gender confusion.

I have been reading the book “Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis and one of the things that the elder demon, Screwtape, tells his younger apprentice is “It is jargon, not reason you must rely on.”  It’s amazing that this book was written and published way back 1942 but its wisdom and effects ring clear and true up to today.

The media and people who are confused about their God-given gender rely on jargon to drown out reason – even to their own minds. If this is the world that my children will grow up to, what am I doing today to change it?

The answer lies in prayer and love – the two Christian virtues and disciplines that our Lord Jesus Christ has practiced and prioritized daily without fail.

We have to put this on and stick to it.
