we have no king

“Then they will say “We have no king because we didn’t fear the Lord. But even if we had a king, what could he do for us anyway?”Hosea 10:3

This verse made me reflect about our situation today.

A lot of people look to the country leader – the president – to solve their most pressing problems. I for one, do hope for a lot from the president.

However this verse made me realize once more that this world is not about kings and their power. Everything falls into place as the Lord has decided for it to be so.

If that is the case, the most pressing thing to do is to inquire of God and pray rather than to post on social media and tag the presidential personnel.

Calamities and crises aren’t brought about by kings and presidents – so why do we look to them to solve it?
